Every dream has to start somewhere, and for Lavender Lane Farm™, one of the biggest early milestones arrived on the back of a dump truck.
As exciting as it was to see truckloads of soil delivered, we quickly realized the real work was just beginning. With shovels, equipment, and plenty of determination, we spent days moving and shaping the soil into raised planting mounds that would become the first home for our lavender plants.
Each row was carefully planned and built to provide the excellent drainage lavender needs to thrive. It wasn't glamorous work, and there were plenty of long, tiring days, but with every mound we completed, the vision for Lavender Lane Farm™ became a little clearer.
Standing back and looking across those freshly formed rows, it was easy to imagine what they would become. Today they're rows of freshly shaped earth. In the years ahead, they'll be filled with fragrant lavender, buzzing pollinators, and visitors enjoying the peaceful beauty of the countryside.
This project reminded us that building something meaningful doesn't happen overnight. It takes planning, patience, perseverance, and a willingness to embrace the hard work behind every beautiful result.
The dirt may have been the first thing to arrive, but it represents so much more than soil. It marks the beginning of a dream taking root.
