Time to Plant!

After weeks of planning, moving dirt, shaping planting mounds, covering the rows with landscape fabric, and carefully preparing every planting hole, the day we had been waiting for had finally arrived.

It was time to plant.

Although the lavender plants were small, they represented something much bigger. Each one was another step toward transforming generations of family land into the peaceful destination we have envisioned for years.

Before a single plant went into the ground, we spent countless hours preparing the planting rows. Lavender thrives in well-drained soil, so we built raised mounds using a carefully selected blend of topsoil and sand to give every plant the best possible start. Once the rows were formed, we covered them with heavy-duty woven landscape fabric to reduce weeds and help conserve moisture while allowing the raised mounds to drain properly.

Every planting location had already been measured, marked, and prepared. As each lavender plant found its place in the row, our vision began to take shape in a way it never had before. What had once been bare mounds of soil suddenly became the first lavender field at Lavender Lane Farm™.

Planting day also reminded us that building something meaningful requires patience. These tiny plants won't become mature lavender overnight. It will take seasons of care, pruning, and growth before they reach their full beauty. But every thriving lavender field begins with someone willing to plant the first one.

Standing back at the end of the day, looking across rows of newly planted lavender, was a moment we'll never forget. It wasn't just about what we had accomplished—it was about what those plants represent. They are the beginning of a dream, rooted in family, nurtured with hard work, and planted with hope for the future.
